The Corona-pandemic keeps the world in suspense: More than 19 million people have been infected so far worldwide, with the Coronavirus, 215.460 of them in Germany.

The Federal government filed a lawsuit to roll according to a report due to outstanding payments for the purchase of protective masks in the Corona-crisis wave. 48 suppliers who were not or only partially delivered goods have been paid for by the Federal health Ministry, had filed lawsuits, reported the "World on Sonntag" relying on the competent Bonn district court. Per week, about ten more suits are added accordingly.

About a hundred suppliers for a coordinated legal approach to prepare according to the report, with the help of lawyers. Overall, the affected companies requested according to the estimates of several firms of outstanding payments of about 400 million euros.

The health Ministry said, according to the report, only 21 complaints were yet to be known, in the process, go to accounts receivable in the amount of 59 million euros. Quality defects and incorrect bills were the reason for the "Delays in the Zahlungsziel".

Plaintiffs and opposition politicians suspect, however, the Ministry wanted to withdraw its payment obligations, after it had found to have significantly to many of the masks ordered. The shopping tour of the Ministry was "completely out of control gelaufen", the Vice-Chairman of the Greens in the Bundestag, Katja Dörner says. The FDP budget expert Otto Fricke suggested, "the Federal government’s press with bureaucratic creativity, prior to payment, or delay will".
