April 2020's Full Pink Super Moon In Libra Is Here To Bring Some Balance Back To Your Life
2020-04-06Well, the ~actual~ universe is here to do you a solid in the form of the full moon in Libra happening on April 8th. It’s called the Full Pink Super Moon, and it’s here to put a lil’ more balance back in your life, according to Donna Page, a certified astrologer. But, of course, there’s more to it than that.
Here’s what your zodiac sign can expect from the Full Pink Super Moon in Libra this month, plus how it’s going to impact you going forward.
What is the Full Pink Super Moon in Libra, exactly?
ICYMI in science class, the moon goes through a bunch of different phases. When it’s a full moon, it looks like a big, round ball of shiny goodness in the sky. The Native Americans of North America used to name the different full moons based on when they happened, and some of those names still exist today.
This particular full moon is called the Full Pink Moon because it tends to happen around the same time as the pink wildflower, a.k.a. the creeping phlox, blooms in the Northern Hemisphere, according to the Farmer’s Almanac. Total bummer alert: The moon won’t be pink or anything.
This moon is a super moon, though, which astronomy-wise means it’s closer to Earth than other moons, making it look about 7 per cent bigger and 15 per cent brighter than your basic full moon, the Farmer’s Almanac says. On the astrological side, it means the moon’s vibe is stronger than usual, Page says.
How will the Full Pink Super Moon in Libra affect your zodiac sign?
Balance is the biggie here, says Page, and it can seep into all areas of your life. On the relationship front, you’re going to crave fairness. Is your partner giving as much as they’re taking, or are you still struggling with the fact that they watched the last episode of Tiger King without you and ate that pint of ice cream you were saving for a special evening? (Not. Cool.)
At the same time, you’ll want to connect with your friends. So, plan a Zoom happy hour with a few of your buddies to catch up, or order takeout and enjoy it together over the phone while hashing out how you’ve been spending your days. Even simply starting a text chain with your BFFs to check-in will add a little extra awesome to your life RN.
The moon is also connected to two planets right now: Pluto and Jupiter. Pluto can make you feel nervous and want to control life, knowing that you actually can’t. But Jupiter lets you know it’s all going to be fiiiiiine; you just need to have a little patience.
The Full Pink Super Moon in Libra will impact all zodiac signs, but Libra and Aries will feel it the most, Page says.
How will the Full Pink Super Moon in Libra impact your future?
Now is the time to figure out how to balance all aspects of your life (you know, NBD).
So, have a chat with your partner about where you feel things are lacking in your relationship and make sure you both work on doing what you can to meet each other in the middle. Being able to pull that off now won’t just make your increased time spent together a whole lot more enjoyable, but it’ll help build a stronger foundation for your relationship and make you even more rock-solid in the future.
Taking the time to see your friends (virtually, of course) through this wild time in history will also help solidify your relationships with them. And, when this is all over, you’ll have an even tighter network that you know can stand with you through literally anything.
Finally, learning to be okay with things not being perfect and simply doing your best can help set you up to better deal in the future when life goes haywire—or just gets a little screwy.
When’s the next full moon?
The next full moon is on May 7th, in the sign of Scorpio. During this full moon, you’ll feel a little more emotional than usual and crave deep connections with people.
Until then, enjoy getting your life in balance—or something like that.
